Electric vehicles

 

Lielahden Autokeskus Oy launched a conversion plant for electric trucks in the autumn of 2021. The recruitment training for electric truck mechanics began in early September. The training has got off to a good start and in connection with it, diesel technology has been removed from the first diesel trucks. An electric engine, batteries and other technology required by electric vehicles are installed during the autumn. In the meantime, the trainees are studying vehicle and especially electric vehicle engineering.

The first completed customer order vehicle, which is unique in its kind in Finland and in the whole of Europe, was revealed at a press conference held in Keuruu on the 17th of May 2022. The vehicle will be used by KWH Logistics for internal traffic of the Äänekoski bioproduct factory. Local companies and reporters were also invited, and they were shown the facilities including office, installation workshop and also vehicles under conversion work.
